Vice President Osinbajo presides over emergency FEC meeting...

Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over an emergency Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa on Friday.
The meeting started at 11am and no reason was given as to why the President was not at the meeting as at the time the state house correspondents filed out of the Council Chambers for the closed door session.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, said that the emergency Federal Executive Council meeting was predominantly to avail the ministers the opportunity to study the details of the budget as it concerns their various ministries before the assent of the President.
The absence of the President seemed a surprise to the members of the FEC.
The SGF, Mr David Babachir verbally called the meeting to order while Vice President Osinabjo called for opening prayers.
