One killed, residents flee as herdsmen attack Plateau community.


   Residents of Zim community in Ropp District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State have fled their homes following an attack by suspected herdsmen on the community.
   It was gathered that the herdsmen at about 7:30 pm on Tuesday ambushed three people at Zim community, killing one person and wounding two others.
The victim was identified as Mr. Dazi Bulus, 28, while Mr. Yohanna Gyang, 26, was critically injured. Mr. Choji Pam escaped with minor injuries.
   The Executive Director of Stefanos Foundation, Mr. Mark Lipdo, said the villagers believe that the attack was part of a recent rumored plan by herdsmen to start attacking areas in Northern parts of Plateau.
He said that Fulani herdsmen have similarly all fled their homes in the neighbourhood.
