President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday resumed in his office inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja after his 13-day leave in the United Kingdom.
Buhari returned to Nigeria on Sunday after spending 13 days in London.
During the vacation, the President visited an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist for a persistent ear infection.
Decked in white agbada and cap, Buhari, on resumption on Monday, met with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, who acted as the President while he was away.
Osinbajo was said to have briefed Buhari on some developments in the country during the President’s leave.
Buhari also granted audience to the outgoing Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase.
He was said to have used the opportunity of the meeting to thank Arase, who retires on Tuesday (today) for his service to the nation.
Buhari also received the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura, while a few ministers also visited the President in his office.
The President also met with some presidential aides, who also informed him of developments as far as their offices were concerned.
Apart from these informal meetings, no official assignment was scheduled for the President on Monday and did not receive any delegation.
Osinbajo had, on Thursday last week, told State House correspondents that Buhari would return to the country on Sunday and resumed work on Monday.
